This is the screen with which you will most often interact. Subsequently it contains more functions than any other screen. Those functions will be broken down over the next few pages. First we'll start off with an Overview before breaking the interface down into their individual components.
Home Screen
This button takes you to the Favorites Screen.
The "+" button adds the displayed name to your list of Favorites.
This section is know as the Name Options.
Below the Name Options are three Lock symbols that allow you to individually lock and unlock each column.
This area displays the Returned Name, as well as pronunciation and short definition.
These last two buttons, Shake and LIst, give you options when searching for names.

OVERVIEW
The Name Options screen is broken into three columns:
• Gender (female, male or both)
• Origin
• Alphabetical preference
These three columns can be adjusted by you or randomized by shaking the device or hitting the “Shake” button (seen below) at the bottom of the Home Screen.

NAME OPTIONS
The "Lock" buttons allow you to limit your search by locking in certain criteria. In this case we are only looking for female German names. The Alpha column has been left unlocked (notice there is no highlight around right lock).
The white box below the lock buttons is where a random name is returned based on the criteria in the Name Options.
Next to the name is an “Arrow” icon that takes the user to an Expanded Name Info Screen (see next page).
The name will appear in BLUE if it is a boy’s name or PINK if it a girl’s name.
Below the name is a pronunciation guide as well as an abbreviated definition.

RETURNED NAME
The “Shake” button causes the unlocked columns in the Name Options to “spin” and then settle on a random set of criteria in the same manner that shaking the device will, while the “List” button takes the user to a list of names that matches the criteria selected in the Name Options.
